Kuta Lombok

Where boards fly higher than your drone footage

The place

Kuta Lombok isn’t just another surf stop . For a lot of people, it’s where things really click. The bay at Tanjung Aan has seen countless first cross-steps, first proper rides, and plenty of shaky take-offs made immortal thanks to the drone pilots buzzing overhead.

Kuta has this sneaky way of making you feel at home. The warung owners start greeting you like family after your third mie goreng, and the local kids are out there catching twice as many waves with half the board length. You tell yourself you’re only staying a week… but then you never quite book the flight back.

For us, it’s become more than just a surf destination. It’s the place that keeps calling us back, the place that feels like home. And if somewhere feels like home, you look after it. That’s why Back to Shore starts here: every shirt goes directly to supporting the local community that makes Kuta so hard to leave behind.

Ocean Folx is a grassroots initiative based in South Lombok that empowers local women through swimming. More than just a physical skill, swimming gives women the freedom to access the ocean, build confidence, and connect to their coastline. Led by local female instructors, the program provides culturally sensitive lessons that break down long-standing barriers to safety, inclusion, and joy in the water.

  • The mission

In many coastal communities, cultural barriers prevent women from learning to swim. Ocean Folx is changing this by providing safe, supportive swimming lessons led by local female instructors.

  • The impact

In 2024, OceanFolx trained 13 women in drowning prevention, who then shared life-saving skills with 10 families, protecting 10 children. In 2025, 35 new women across 11 villages learned these skills, and two former students became local swim leaders.

Every t-shirt you buy helps OceanFolx continue this life-saving work.
